A most majestic sunset as seen from the roof of the Rockefeller Center in New York. Uniquely enchanting colours provide a grand setting for Manhattan’s towering skyscrapers. The buildings bask in blue, red and orange of sunlight. Empire State underlines and enhances the majesty of the Sun itself; a triumphant blend of man and nature indeed. The painting was made with a palette knife, with orange, golden and red colours dominating the piece. The painting does not require a frame, since all the side facets of the canvas are painted with the background colour.
