Ostentatious bouquet of sunflowers in a vase; the blooms take up most of the area, exuding a mood of splendour and abundance. To enhance the texture of the flowers and their interaction with sunlight, a palette knife was used to produce this piece in impasto technique. Thick smears of paint create a distinctly textured surface. A frame is not necessary, but could greatly enhance the rich colour palette. This piece will fit in nicely into the interior of a dining room or a bedroom.
