Watermelon

Oil/Canvas 50 X 75

Succulent, ripe watermelon, fragrant with summer and leisure. Bright slices of the fruit contrast with the light background. The slices were intentionally depicted as having been taken some bites from - to underscore the natural feeling of being party to consuming the watermelon. The painting was made from life, with the photo of the watermelon used included as the last image. “Watermelon” will fit nicely into a kitchen or a dining room, a reminder of fresh sweetness of summer. Bon Appétit!
