This piece was made during a plein air session, when the zenith of a highland apple tree blossoming inspired this creative experiment. Verdant spring foliage, aquamarine skies and pink-white blooms are the principal accents of this piece. On this occasion I tried to imbue the medium of oil with the scent of apple tree blooms, chill air of early spring and radiance of May sunlight. Both front and back of the painting are signed. The painting does not require a frame, since all the side facets of the canvas are painted with the background colour.
