To enhance the texture of the flowers and their interaction with sunlight, a palette knife was used to produce this piece in impasto technique. Thick smears of paint create a distinctly textured surface. All the sides facets of the canvas are painted with background color The painting does not require a frame, but could greatly enhance the rich colour palette.
