The deep blue of the lagoon fasts with pristine whiteness of the lilies and tender buds. Vividly orange giant leaves highlight complex colouring of water which includes every kind of shade of blue: from ultramarine too deep jade.Snow-white lilies weave themselves into a circlet for a mermaid. The blooms and leaves were made with pallet knife strokes further highlighting them against the translucent background of water. Coarse canvas improves the texture of the giant lily’s leaves and blooms.
